Directions to ProZyme

	Yahoo! Maps provides driving directions to 1933 Davis Street, San Leandro, CA (Westgate Business Center), but the instructions below will help you locate our suite within the business center.

ProZyme is located in the Westgate Business Center which is west of Interstate 880 at the Davis Street exit in San Leandro, California. There is a large Westgate sign (listing Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Office Depot, SportMart, etc.) visible from the freeway.  Exits to the north are 98^th Avenue and Hegenberger Road (both are exits for the Oakland airport). The exit to the south is Marina Boulevard.

1. From the north, exit the freeway using the Davis Street offramp.  When you get close to the traffic light, the lanes split into one lane turning left and two lanes turning right. Get into the leftmost of the two lanes turning right.  Turn right onto Davis and turn left at the first stop light (Timothy Drive to the left, Warden Street to the right), again staying in the leftmost of the two turn lanes (You will be turning into a shopping mall parking lot). Skip down to paragraph 2.

From the south, take the Davis Street exit. Remain in the leftmost lane as you approach the stop light.  Turn left onto Davis, and stay in the left lane as you cross over the freeway.  Turn left at the second stop light (Timothy Drive to the left, Warden Street to the right) staying in the leftmost of the two turn lanes (You will be turning into a shopping mall parking lot).

2. Continue in this lane clockwise around the perimeter of the parking lot.  Drive straight at the stop light (the right lane will turn into the lot), and keep driving past Wal-Mart^® (the store will be on your right).   Turn right at the pedestrian crossing and drive behind the Wal-Mart store.  Turn right at the Wal-Mart  loading dock) and drive up the ramp leading to the second floor of the Westgate Business Center.

The building is color coded.  ProZyme is in the purple section, the first on your left as you enter the building.  Drive forward to the door under the second purple canopy. The parking spaces to the right of the door are marked ProZyme.  Park in one of them and enter that door.  (Please call ahead to make sure we leave a space empty for you.  Do not park in any other space inside the building or your car will be towed.  Outside parking is available.)

Walk down the hall until it branches, turn right. Proceed to the 4^th ramp (last door on the left underthe purple stripe, with 207 painted on the wall). This is our front door, please walk right in. Also, odd numbered suites are on the West side of the parking area, even-numbered are to the East.
 

Public Transit
BART riders from San Francisco should board (or transfer to) a Fremont or Dublin/Pleasanton train.  Riders on the westbound Pittsburg/Baypointe line must transfer to a Fremont train at MacArthur Station. From Richmond, take a Fremont train. From Fremont, take a Richmond train.  Exit the train at the San Leandro BART station.  (Free BART to BUS/BUS to BART transfers are available from machines near the escalators. Use the transfer for reduced fares on AC transit.)

From the BART station,  the AC Transit No. 55 bus (southbound) can take you to Davis & Warden.  The Westgate Business Center is across the street from the bus stop. The southbound 55 runs every 30 minutes at 19 & 49 minutes past the hour (i.e., 7:19 a.m. & 7:49 a.m. ). The northbound 55 leaves the Westgate Business Center (bus stop in front of the Office Depot parking lot) at similar times (4:49 & 5:19 p.m.).

The free San Leandro LINKS shuttle can take you from the BART station to the Westgate Center. LINKS runs every 20 minutes during morning (5:45 to 9:30 a.m.) and evening (2:00 to 7:30 p.m.) commute hours.  LINKS shares the bus stop with the southbound 55 AC Transit bus.

The LINKS shuttle runs counter-clockwise in a unidirectional loop. For your return trip to BART, you must board LINKS at the same stop used for the trip from BART to ProZyme. This means that the trip to BART requires a 15 minute ride through west San Leandro.

If you are in a hurry, taxis are usually available on the west side of the San Leandro BART station at the passenger loading zone.  Tell the driver to drop you off in the Westgate Center near the Wal-Mart store entrance.

Bicycles from BART
Cyclists should avoid riding down Davis Street from the BART station.  It is safer to ride south on San Leandro Blvd; then, turn right on Williams Street.  (There are bike lanes in both directions.)   Proceed West on Williams St. for about a mile. Turn right at Westgate Parkway (MV shuttle yard).  Turn left at Wal-Mart. The Westgate Business Center should be ahead of you to the right.
